Camp Hallawasa is a E-Free Church camp for churches in the Black Hills and Western South Dakota.  Hallawasa derives its name from the phrase “Hallelujah What A Savior!”  At this point we are active for three week long summer camps (4th – 6th grade, Junior High and Senior High) plus a winter retreat for High School. To keep costs low, the camp is run by a group of volunteers each summer.  We have seen many children come to know the Lord as their savior, and others grow in their commitment through this ministry.

All camps begin with check-in and tent assignments from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on the camp start date.  Camp ends at 10:00 a.m. on camp end dates.  This year camp will be at Camp Volunteer--3 miles South of Custer, SD just off Hwy 89 near the Custer airport.

What to Bring (Please mark all your belongings):

Clothing Camp clothes, warm sweater or jacket, rain gear, swimsuits (modest one-piece) and a T-Shirt o wear when swimming (Guys and Girls), modest shorts and at least one pair of long pants, "water shoes", insect repellent, sunscreen, and 2 big garbage sacks to keep your stuff dry in case of rain.

Please bring at least one pair of long pants.  Keep in mind that sometimes we have cool, wet weeks when shorts will not be adequate.

Bedding Sleeping bag or plenty of warm blankets, pillow, sleeping air mattress (if desired).
Personal Towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush and FLASHLIGHT.
Additional Items Bible, notebook, pen or pencil, musical instruments (if you play one), money for offering and snack bar.  Candy bars and pop are offered at 50 cents each at least once per day.  An offering is taken during the weeks for our missionary project.  All moneys are collected at the beginning of the week and kept in the Hallawasa "bank" to ensure safekeeping.

What NOT to Bring:

No food or drinks without advance permission (for medical reasons).  No electronic games, radios, tape players, etc.  Do not bring anything special to you--Hallawasa cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.

Fee for all camps is $70.00 per camper.  Print out this registration form, complete it, and send it with your payment (or give it to your Pastor or camp representative) at least 14 days before the applicable camp begins.  Make checks payable to Camp Hallawasa.
